Privacy

StreamHub has no accounts, sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising. This page explains exactly what does and does not happen when you use the site.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts. There is no sign-up, login or profile, so we hold no names, email addresses or passwords.
  • No tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own, and there is no analytics or advertising script on any page. You will not see a cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
  • No profile building. We do not track what you browse, build viewing histories, or sell data to anyone.

What necessarily does happen

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, browser user-agent, page requested and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults. These logs are retained for a short period by the host and are not used to identify individuals.

Search queries

What you type into the search box is sent to our own server so it can be looked up in the catalogue. Queries are not stored against you, and there is no search history because there is no account to attach one to.

Artwork loaded from TMDB

Catalogue data is fetched by our server, so TMDB does not see your IP address for that. However, posters and backdrops are loaded directly by your browser from TMDB’s image servers (image.tmdb.org), which means TMDB can see your IP address and user-agent when images load, as with any external image host.

Trailers

Trailers are click-to-load. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you actually press play — so if you never play a trailer, YouTube receives nothing from your visit. When you do press play, the player is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which limits the cookies YouTube sets, and Google’s own privacy policy then applies to that playback.

Links to other sites

Where-to-watch links take you to JustWatch and to streaming providers, and some pages link to IMDb. Once you follow a link you are on that company’s site under their privacy policy, not ours. We receive nothing back about what you do there.

Children

The site is a general-audience catalogue and is not directed at children. We knowingly collect nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this site ever adds analytics, advertising or accounts, this page will be updated before those features go live, and the date below will change.
